Accessibility
Last updated 21 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to use Reeltopus, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or other assistive technology. Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, for the website and the app.
Where we are
Reeltopus doesn't fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA yet, and we haven't had an independent audit. We haven't published a VPAT or conformance report.
What we have checked by hand, on the homepage, pricing and sign-in pages, on a 375-pixel-wide phone screen:
- The page language is set, and each page has one main heading and a main landmark.
- Every button, link and form field has a label.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
- Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages fit the screen without sideways scrolling.
The clip editor has keyboard shortcuts for playback, trimming and editing.
What we know falls short
- There is no "skip to content" link yet.
- The app, especially the clip editor's timeline and video preview, hasn't been tested with a screen reader or an automated checker such as axe.
- Colour contrast hasn't been measured on every page.
Captions are part of what Reeltopus makes: every clip can carry captions burned in, and you can download them as SRT or VTT files for players that show captions separately.
