Brand kits and templates
Save your fonts, colors, logo and intro cards as a brand kit, save a clip's look as a template, and set a default for new videos.
Updated
Brand kits and templates keep your clips looking the same without restyling each one. A brand kit is your look: caption style, colors, font, logo, and intro and outro cards. A template is a saved look from a clip, which can include a brand kit. Manage both on the Brand page at /app/settings/brand.
Make a brand kit
- Open Brand and press + New brand kit.
- Set what you want:
- Default caption style and Caption colours (highlight, outline and background, where the style has them).
- Font: pick one, or press Upload a font. TTF or OTF, up to 4 MB. Letters the font doesn't have (other scripts) fall back to Noto Sans. Use fonts you have the right to use.
- Logo or watermark: press Upload a logo. PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MB; a PNG with transparency works best. Pick its position and opacity.
- Intro and outro cards: short text cards that play silently before and after the clip. They add to the clip's length.
- Press Save brand kit.
Saving a kit doesn't change clips that already use it. Apply it again to update them.
Apply a brand kit or template
On a video's page, open a clip and go to the Style tab. Under Brand and template:
- pick a Brand kit and apply it to This clip or All clips of the video
- pick a template and apply it the same way
Each change is one undo step. If a clip already had a finished export, export it again to get the new look. The export matches the preview.
You can also ask in a clip's chat, for example "apply my podcast template". See Edit with chat.
Save a template
- Style a clip the way you want it.
- On the Style tab, enter a name (for example "Podcast") and choose Save this clip's look as a template.
A template keeps the caption style and colors, brand kit, layout, aspect, resolution and silence removal.
Default template for new videos
On the Brand page, press Use for new videos next to a template. It's marked Default for new videos, and every new video's clips get that look when processing finishes, including videos added through the API. Only one template can be the default. Press Stop using for new videos to turn it off.
Autopilot also uses the default template for clips nobody has styled yet. See Autopilot.
Limits by plan
| Plan | Brand kits | Templates |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 3 |
| Creator | 3 | 10 |
| Pro | 10 | 50 |
| Agency | 50 | 200 |
The Brand page shows how many you're using. When your kits are all in use, edit an existing one or upgrade on the Billing page.
Deleting
- Deleting a brand kit doesn't change clips that used it; they keep the look they were given. Templates that named it apply without a brand kit.

Who can manage them
Owners, admins and editors can create, edit and apply brand kits and templates. Viewers and clients can't. See Teams and roles.
