Posting and Autopilot
How Autopilot plans and posts your clips
Set up Autopilot, review its weekly plan, approve posts in the app or by email, and decide which accounts post without asking.
Updated
Autopilot plans your posts for you. It picks your best clips that haven't been posted yet, writes a caption for each platform, puts them in time slots for the week, and waits for your approval. Nothing goes out unless you approve it, or unless you've set an account to post without asking. Autopilot doesn't use any of your upload hours.
Set it up
- Open Autopilot at /app/autopilot and press Set up Autopilot (later, Change settings).
- Where to post: tick the connected accounts to use, and pick how many posts a week for each (1 to 14; more than 7 means two a day). An account that needs reconnecting can't be picked until you reconnect it.
- When to post: use your best times from Analytics (or good default times for each platform until your numbers show better ones), or set My own times (up to six). Set your Time zone.
- Which videos: New uploads (videos you add from now on), videos you pick from your Back catalogue, or both.
- Turn on Autopilot is on and save.
When you turn it on, Autopilot fills the rest of this week right away. From Friday on, it fills next week too.
Your weekly plan
Every Friday, Autopilot plans the next week for each workspace that has it on, and emails the workspace's owners and admins: "Your week of clips is ready".
When it picks clips, Autopilot:
- uses your highest-ranked clips, and skips ones that scored low
- never posts the same moment twice to the same account
- never puts two overlapping cuts of a video in the same week
- learns a little from what you skip, so similar clips rank slightly lower for a while
- gives untouched clips your default template's look, or your only brand kit's
It exports each proposed clip ahead of its slot, so an approved post can go out on time. Exports are free.
Approve, edit or skip
On /app/autopilot, each proposed post is a card marked Waiting for you, grouped by week. On each card you can:
- edit the Caption, Hashtags and title, and pick a smart link
- press Approve (or Save and approve after editing)
- press Skip to drop it
- press Approve all to approve every waiting post at once
Approved posts go out at their slot. Skipping a post that's already scheduled cancels it.
A post nobody approves expires when its slot arrives. Owners and admins get one reminder email 24 hours before an unapproved slot.
Approve from email
The weekly email has a one-tap approve link for each post, plus an Approve-all link. Opening a link only shows a page; you approve with the button on that page. Each link works once and expires after 7 days. A link stops working if the person it was sent to leaves the workspace or loses the right to approve.
Post without asking
For each account, you can tick Post without asking me. Its posts are approved automatically and go out at their slots. You can still skip one to stop it.
Platforms limit reach for accounts that post repetitive or mass-produced clips. The first time you turn this on for an account, you confirm you understand the platform's originality rules. We recommend keeping approval on for your main account.
Turning this off sends that account's not-yet-scheduled posts back for approval. Turning Autopilot off, or removing an account, withdraws the posts still waiting.
