Posting to TikTok
Connect TikTok, choose who can watch, add disclosures, or send clips to your TikTok drafts to finish in the app.

You can post clips to TikTok, or send them to your TikTok drafts to finish in the app. TikTok connects through our posting partner rather than directly. This page covers what's specific to TikTok; for the general steps, see Post and schedule clips.
Is TikTok available for you?
TikTok posting is switching on gradually. Look at the TikTok card on Connections:
- Connect TikTok means you can connect now.
- TikTok: coming soon means it isn't switched on for your workspace yet. You can still download the MP4 and upload it in the TikTok app.
TikTok isn't offered in every country. If it isn't available where you are, it won't appear on Connections.
Connect your account
- On Connections, press Connect TikTok. For a TikTok business account, press Connect a business account instead. Business accounts connect through TikTok's Business API, which has no daily limit for apps.
- Sign in to TikTok. The sign-in screen shows our posting partner's name: it holds TikTok's permission and posts only what you send from Reeltopus.
- Approve access. You land back on Connections.
The account shows "via" the partner's name. Only workspace owners and admins can connect accounts.
What the post form asks
TikTok's rules for apps mean you make some choices yourself each time, with nothing picked for you.
- Caption: the description, hashtags included, up to 2,200 characters. Leave it empty to use the title. TikTok has no separate title field.
- Who can watch: Everyone, Followers, Friends (followers you follow back), or Only me. You must pick one.
- Let viewers: Comment, Duet and Stitch. Untick any you want off.
- Does this promote a brand, product or service?
- Your brand: you're promoting yourself or your own business. TikTok labels it "Promotional content".
- Branded content: a paid partnership with another brand. TikTok labels it "Paid partnership", and it can't be set to Only me.
- Label as AI-generated: for dubbed voices or generated scenes.
- Cover frame: the number of seconds into the clip to use as the cover. Leave it empty for TikTok's pick.
By posting, you agree to TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation, and to its Branded Content Policy when you tick Branded content. The form links to both.
Send to drafts instead
Tick Send to my TikTok drafts instead to add sounds and finish posting in the TikTok app. The button changes to Send to drafts. When it's done, the post shows "Sent to your TikTok drafts. Open TikTok to finish posting."
Drafts get their brand disclosure in the TikTok app when you finish them. If you tick a disclosure and drafts together, the form asks you to turn one off.
Length
TikTok takes videos from 3 seconds to 10 minutes from apps. If your clip is outside that, trim it in the editor and export again.
Links
TikTok captions can't hold a tappable link. If you pick a smart link, the caption stays as it is and a tracked short link is made for your bio. Its clicks still count under Links.
After you post
TikTok may take a few minutes to show the video. The post's status changes to Posted when it's live. If it fails, the reason is shown next to it.
