Your data: what we keep, downloading it and deleting your account

Your videos and clips are yours. This page explains what Reeltopus keeps, how long, and how to download or delete it. The privacy policy has the full details.

What we keep

• Your account: your email address, and your name and picture if you sign in with Google. We also keep your sign-in sessions (when, your IP address and browser).
• Your videos and what we make from them: transcripts with word timings, clips, captions, exports and dubs.
• Connected accounts: each account's name and picture, the access tokens that let us post for you (encrypted), the posts you send or schedule, and the numbers the platform reports for those posts.
• Developer access: API keys (we keep only a fingerprint of each), apps you connect, and webhook addresses.
• Billing: your plan, hours used, and what Paddle tells us about your payments. Paddle holds your card; we never see the number.

We don't sell your data, show you ads, or use your videos, transcripts or clips to train AI models.

How long we keep it

• Your account, transcripts, clips and connected accounts: until you delete them or your account.
• Uploads you started but never finished: 24 hours.
• Source videos and exports: see the privacy policy for the current periods. If an export is no longer there, you can export the clip again for free while its source video is kept. If your paid plan ends, we keep your exports and source videos for at least 30 more days.
• Audit log: 365 days.
• Expired sign-in sessions: 7 days after they expire.

The privacy policy lists every period, including billing records.

Download your data

1. Open Account at /app/settings/account.
2. Under Download your data, press Download my data.

You get one JSON file with your account, videos, transcripts, clips, posts, connected accounts and billing history. Videos and exports are included as links that work for 24 hours, so download those soon. The file never includes secrets like tokens or keys.

Delete your account

1. Open Account at /app/settings/account.
2. Under Delete your account, type your email address to confirm, then press Delete my account.

Your subscription stops renewing right away. Your account is then permanently deleted 7 days later. Until then nothing is removed, and you can press Keep my account to undo it.

When the 7 days are up, we:

• delete every workspace you're the only member of, with its videos, transcripts, clips and exports
• disconnect your social accounts, asking each platform to revoke our access
• revoke your API keys and connected apps
• cancel your subscription
• remove you from workspaces other people still use (their work stays)

We keep invoices, which the law requires. Our database provider's backups roll off within days. After the 7 days, deletion can't be undone.

Instagram data

Disconnecting Instagram deletes our access token at once. To delete the rest of what we collected from Instagram, also remove Reeltopus in Instagram under Settings, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites. See Posting to Instagram.

For companies

If you process other people's personal data in Reeltopus for a company, an owner or admin can accept our Data Processing Addendum on the Account page. The subprocessors page lists the providers that handle data for us.
