What makes a good hook for a short video?+
It creates a question the viewer wants answered, and the clip then answers it. Good hooks are short (under about 12 words), specific and concrete, and they promise only what the clip delivers. A bold claim, a surprising number, a question or the start of a story all work.
Should the hook be spoken or on screen?+
Both, ideally. Many people watch with the sound off, so put the hook on screen in the first second as well as saying it. On-screen hooks of eight words or fewer read best on a phone.
Is there a limit?+
To keep the tool free, each person can generate a handful of sets every few minutes, and each paragraph can be up to 2,000 characters. Reeltopus writes a hook for every clip it finds in your full video.
What happens to the text I paste?+
It is sent to our AI provider to write the hooks and is not stored by Reeltopus.
