Turn webinars and talks into LinkedIn video clips
On LinkedIn the best clips make one clear point: an answer from a panel, a lesson from an interview, a slide explained in a minute. Reeltopus finds those moments in your recording, cuts them cleanly, keeps the speaker in a vertical frame and adds captions so the clip makes sense with the sound off. Reeltopus is in early access, so join the waitlist to try it.

What works on LinkedIn
One useful point per clip
LinkedIn says video visibility depends partly on quality, which it describes as clear, professional, relevant and helpful or actionable. Cut each clip around a single takeaway.
Make it work with the sound off
Burned-in captions let people follow the clip in the feed without audio. Add the SRT file too, so viewers who want closed captions get them.
Give context in the post
You have up to 3,000 characters. Say who is speaking, where it was recorded and why the point matters, in the first two lines.
Keep the speaker in the middle
Vertical video plays full screen in the mobile video feed but can show smaller on desktop. A centered face and captions read well in both.
How Reeltopus prepares clips for LinkedIn
Complete arguments, not fragments
The clip brain reads the whole transcript and keeps the setup with the conclusion, so a panel answer doesn't end halfway through the reasoning. Each pick comes with a one-line reason.
Captions plus an SRT file
Captions are burned in with clear margins from the edges, and every clip exports SRT and VTT files to attach as LinkedIn closed captions.
Speaker tracking for talks and panels
Active-speaker tracking follows whoever is talking on a stage or a Zoom call. Two-person interviews get an automatic split screen.
A clean, professional cut
Remove ums, uhs and long pauses per clip, trim by deleting words in the transcript, or ask for changes in plain words like "cut the intro and end on the example".
Posting: Posting to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Threads and Facebook is rolling out platform by platform, switching on as each platform's app approval completes. LinkedIn switches on once its app approval completes. Until then, download the MP4 and SRT and post from LinkedIn on desktop, where you can attach the caption file, which works from day one.

Questions
How long can a LinkedIn video be?
LinkedIn's video help says 3 seconds to 15 minutes (2 seconds from the mobile app), but its spec page for LinkedIn Pages says 10 minutes. Clips from webinars and talks rarely need more than a couple of minutes.
What aspect ratio works best on LinkedIn?
LinkedIn accepts anything from 1:2.4 to 2.4:1. Vertical 9:16 plays full screen in the mobile video feed and may appear smaller on desktop, so keep the speaker and captions near the middle.
How do I add captions to a LinkedIn video?
Either burn them into the video or attach an SRT file when you share from desktop (Edit, then Select Caption). Reeltopus does both: burned-in captions and an SRT file for each clip.
Can I schedule video posts on LinkedIn?
Yes. The post composer has a clock icon for scheduling, and LinkedIn Pages can schedule from one hour to three months ahead.
How do I turn a webinar into LinkedIn clips?
Upload the recording to Reeltopus. It transcribes it, picks the moments that make one complete point, reframes them around the speaker and adds captions. Review the picks, adjust lengths in plain words and download.
