How many hashtags should I use?+
It depends on the platform. Instagram allows at most 5 on a post or Reel. YouTube shows the first 3 above a video's title and ignores all hashtags on a video that has more than 15. On TikTok and LinkedIn, 3 to 5 specific tags work better than a long list.
Do hashtags like #fyp or #viral help?+
No. They're so broad that they tell the platform nothing about your video, and Instagram has said tags like #reels and #explore don't help content reach Explore. This tool leaves them out on purpose.
How do I know if a hashtag is banned?+
Search for it or tap it in the app. If it shows few or no recent posts, or a message that posts are hidden, it's restricted, so leave it out. Also check that the top posts are about your topic: an off-topic tag can send your video to the wrong audience.
What happens to my text?+
