API changelog
Every change to the Reeltopus REST API, webhooks and MCP server, newest first.
v1 only gets additions and fixes; anything that would break a client goes into a new version, announced here first. See the versioning and deprecation policy. The product's own changelog is at /changelog.
· Added
SDKs, no-code apps and this changelog
- TypeScript SDK (@reeltopus/sdk) and Python SDK (reeltopus), both generated from the OpenAPI document, with multipart uploads, wait helpers, retries with idempotency keys and webhook verification. Published to npm and PyPI once released.
- Zapier, Make and n8n apps built on the same webhooks and endpoints; listed on each platform once it has reviewed them.
- Versioning and deprecation policy, rate limit reference and this changelog.
· Added
LinkedIn carousels
- Write a 4–10 slide carousel PDF from what is said in a clip, in the workspace's brand, and post it as a LinkedIn document post.
/clips/{clipId}/carousels,/carousels/{carouselId},/carousels/{carouselId}/posts· Added
Revenue attribution
- The packaging report's objective can be revenue, counted from conversions, including those from Stripe and conversion webhooks set up in the app.
/packaging/report· Added
Sponsor Kit
- List sponsor deals and read a deal's live report: disclosed clips, their posts and totals.
/sponsors/deals,/sponsors/deals/{dealId}/report· Added
Packaging Lab
- Title, hook and cover variants per clip: list them, write the challengers, export one, and read the workspace's packaging report.
- POST /posts takes variantId to post a variant; the post records the packaging it went out with.
/clips/{clipId}/variants,/variants/{variantId}/export,/packaging/report,/posts· Added
Roles, audit log and the audit.event webhook
- A key acts with its creator's role, and only owners and admins can hold keys. A write the role can't do answers 403 with code forbidden. Demoting or removing a member stops their keys at once.
- Read the audit log, filtered by action, actor, channel and time, with cursor paging.
- audit.event webhook, sent only to endpoints that list it by name.
/audit-events,/webhooks· Added
Posting to more platforms
- POST /posts works for every connected platform. Per-platform options (drafts, disclosures, AI label, comments, duets and stitches, cover frame, first comment) go in options.
- GET /connections also lists which of those options each account supports (features) and its longest clip (durationMaxSeconds).
/posts,/connections· Added
Smart links
- Destinations, and a tracked short link on every post that has one.
- Clicks, unique clicks, click-through and conversions per link, clip and platform.
- Report leads and sales from your own systems, with revenue (valueCents, currency) and an externalId, so the same order reported twice counts once.
/destinations,/destinations/{destinationId},/links,/links/{linkId},/conversions· Added
Brand kits and templates
- List the workspace's brand kits and templates, and apply one to a clip or to every clip of a project.
- The workspace's default template is applied to new projects' clips, including projects made through the API.
/brand-kits,/templates,/clips/{clipId}/look,/projects/{projectId}/look· Changed
Exports at the source's real resolution
- POST /clips/{clipId}/export never exports above what the clip's crop of the source holds (at most 1.5× upscaled; 1080p always), unless you pass upscale: plain (Lanczos) or ai (when the AI upscaler is switched on).
/clips/{clipId}/export· Added
Clip edits and score factors
- Clips carry scoreFactors: hook, flow, payoff and shareable, each 0–10 with a sentence on why.
- PATCH /clips/{clipId} takes an aspect edit.
/clips/{clipId}· Added
Caption script for Indian languages
- captionScript (native, latin or mixed) on uploads and projects, for Hinglish and other Latin-script captions.
/uploads,/projects· Added
MCP: start a video from chat
- MCP tools to start a project from a file attached in ChatGPT or from an upload link, full tool annotations, structured errors and the clip carousel MCP App.
· Fixed
Dynamic GET routes
- GET routes no longer risked being served from a static render; every response is computed per request.
· Added
OAuth 2.1 for the MCP server
- Authorization code with PKCE, client ID metadata documents and dynamic registration, rotating refresh tokens and revocation, so assistants connect by signing in.
· Added
API v1
- The REST API: account, multipart uploads, projects from YouTube links, ranked clips, clip edits, exports with MP4, caption files and editor timelines, posts, caption styles and connections.
- Webhooks signed the Standard Webhooks way: project.ready, project.failed, clip.exported, clip.export_failed, post.published, post.failed.
- Idempotency keys on writes, per-key rate limits with RateLimit headers, and the remote MCP server at /api/mcp.
